Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma on Thursday chaired a meeting in the conference hall of the DC office to review the working of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) with main focus on the implementation of Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district.
The executing agency presented a detailed PowerPoint briefing on the current status and progress of RDSS works in the district. The Deputy Commissioner took stock of key components, including material supply chains, feeder-wise work progress, and the availability and installation of critical equipment such as electric poles, conductors, LT AB cables, DTRs and transformers.
Emphasizing the importance of timely completion, the DC directed the Executive Engineer (Xen) to prioritize the completion of ongoing works taken up under the RDSS. To ensure quality and accountability, Junior Engineers (JEs) were instructed to carry out regular onsite inspections of installation works.
The DC also underscored the necessity of maintaining geo-tagged photographic records of each project site to enable transparent and effective monitoring. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Mohd Iqbal Zargar; Executive Engineer JPDCL Aftab Hussain; AEE Sub division Poonch, Surankote, Mendhar and Mandi besides head of NTPC & SJ and rep. of NTPC.
