Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, Bela (An Autonomous College), observed World Heart Day 2025 with great zeal under the global theme “Don’t Miss a Beat.” The event, organized by the Care and Cure Club, aimed to spread awareness about heart health, preventive care, and lifestyle management.

The celebration featured multiple activities centered around heart wellness. An Awareness Program on ‘Heart Health’ educated students and staff members about risk factors, preventive measures, and the importance of regular health check-ups. Special focus was placed on Yoga for Heart Health, showcasing yoga’s role in stress management and improving cardiovascular fitness.

A Heart Health Check-up Camp was also conducted, where participants learned about crucial markers of heart health such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and BMI, enabling them to understand and monitor their cardiac well-being. To foster creativity and engagement, a Poster-Making Competition on heart health was held, where students highlighted the theme through innovative visual messages.

The program was graced by Dr. Shailesh Sharma, Director of the College, who emphasized the importance of timely action, healthy habits, and spreading awareness to reduce the burden of heart diseases. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Satnam Singh, Coordinator of the Care and Cure Club, who reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to promoting preventive measures for healthcare and heart wellness.

The success of the event was credited to the dedicated contributions of the Care and Cure Club Team, Dr. Navjot Kaur, Prof. Harpreet Kaur, Prof. Navjit Kaur, Prof. Ravinder Kaur, Prof. Ramandeep Kaur, Prof. Rupinder Kaur, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur and volunteers. The World Heart Day celebration at the college not only educated participants but also inspired them to pledge towards better heart care.
