The District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting for the first quarter ending June 2025 was today held under the overall leadership of Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Bandipora, Abdul Gani Bhat, and chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib.

During the meeting, it was informed that the district has achieved 22% of the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for Q1 of FY 2025-26, with a total disbursement of Rs. 314.00 crores against the target of Rs. 1411.22 crores.

The priority sector achieved 18% (Rs. 148.00 crores) while the non-priority sector recorded 29% (Rs. 166.16 crores). DC directed banks to devise effective strategies to ensure 100% achievement in the priority sector and also stressed improvement in credit off-take under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).

She directed for 100% coverage of active KCCs and issuance of KCC smart cards, while also highlighting the need to address the high rejection rate of cases and delays caused by non-adherence to TAT guidelines.

Indu also stressed vigorous participation of banks in the Jansuraksha campaign, completion of Re-KYC of all Jan Dhan accounts with Rupay card issuance, and sincere implementation of Swachhata Hi Sewa activities.

DC expressed concern over the dismal performance of the Financial Literacy and Credit Counselling Centres (FLCCs) and stressed impactful awareness activities to improve financial inclusion. She further directed that no DLTFC should have more than 50 cases for qualitative sponsorship and instructed officers to accompany beneficiaries to banks for grievance redressal.

Earlier, Lead District Manager presented the overall performance of banks under schemes including PMEGP, PMFME, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Vishwakarma Scheme, and NRLM initiatives, besides progress in digital products, deposits and advances, and enrolment of Safayi Karamcharis under social security schemes.
