Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kharar, Ms. Divya P, today informed that the ongoing CC pavement work in the Grain Market, Kharar, will be completed by next week, well before the arrival of paddy in the mandi. The work had been delayed due to recent rains, she added.The SDM said that the Mandi Board Officials have been aksed to carry out the work on a day-and-night basis.
The officials have assured that the 300-meter cement concrete road is being executed on fast track to ensure farmers do not face any inconvenience during the procurement season.She assured farmers and commission agents that all necessary infrastructure upgradations will be completed in time and there will be no disruption in smooth operations of the mandi.
