Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar today conducted inspection of the Doda–Bhaderwah road and National Highway-244 at Jangalwar (Thathri) and Khalleni Nallah to assess the damages caused due to torrential rains.

During the visit, the DC and SSP took stock of damage to roads and reviewed the ground situation. They took note of the hardships being faced by commuters and the general public due to road blockages and disruptions in connectivity.

The DC directed the NHIDCL and Executive Engineer R&B Department to immediately initiate landslide clearance and restoration works to ensure smooth traffic movement. He emphasized to take effective measures to restore connectivity and provide relief to the public without delay.

The District Administration Doda has assured the public that all possible measures are being taken to restore normal traffic movement at the earliest and to ensure safety of the commuters.
