Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, A. Sreenivas said that the Election Commission of India has published the draft electoral roll for Bihar state from August 1 to 18, 2025, with the aim of ensuring accuracy in the voter list.Sh. A. Sreenivas said so far, no claims or objections have been submitted by any political party regarding the draft list.
However, 45,616 claims and objections have been received so far directly from the electors and 1,348 objections had been disposed off within 7 days. In addition, 1,52,651 Form 6 and Declaration applications have been received from new voters of 18 years of age or above.
As per the guidelines of the commission, Claims and Objections are to be disposed of by the concerned ERO/AERO after the expiry of 7 days after the verification of eligibility documents.He further said that as per Special Intensive Revision (SIR) orders, no name can be deleted from the draft list published on August 1, 2025 without passing a speaking order by the ERO/AERO after conducting an enquiry and after giving a fair and reasonable opportunity.
The list of deleted voters, whose names are not included in the Draft Electoral Roll dated August 1, 2025, is available on the websites of the respective DEOs/DMs (district- wise) as well as on the CEO website in an EPIC searchable mode as well.
Aggrieved persons may submit their claims along with a copy of their Aadhaar Card. The Chief Electoral Officer has appealed to all political parties, citizens, and organisations to actively take part in this process and help in creating a voter list that is accurate, transparent, and inclusive.
