Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting in his office chamber to review the preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025. The campaign is aimed at fostering patriotism and celebrating the spirit of Independence Day across the district.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Education Officer to organise competitions in all 1983 government and private schools of the district, including Government Degree Colleges (GDCs), Private GDCs, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS), and Pahari Hostels.

He emphasized the importance of Tiranga-themed wall paintings across educational institutions to create a visually vibrant patriotic environment. Special focus was laid on organizing Rangoli competitions in schools, particularly in PM SHRI Schools, and promoting Tiranga Rakhi-making activities.

He stressed on ensuring active participation of Self Help Groups (SHGs) and private schools in the campaign. The DC also instructed officers to identify prominent locations at the district headquarters for setting up Har Ghar Tiranga Selfie Booths.

He asked concerned departments to ensure the timely uploading of event details on the dedicated government portal. To further instill a sense of national pride, the DC proposed organising Tiranga Bike Rallies with the involvement of NSS and NCC cadets.

Instructions were also issued to illuminate and decorate significant public buildings, government offices, bridges, and heritage structures with the Tricolour theme. The Deputy Commissioner called upon all stakeholders to work in close coordination to make the Tiranga Campaign 2025 a grand success, reflecting the collective spirit of patriotism across the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioners Tanveer Ahmed (Kalakote), Dil Mir (Kotranka) Chander Parkash (Rajouri), Ramkesh Sharma (Sunderbani), Pritam Lal Thapa (Nowshera), and SDM Thanamandi Abid Hussain joined the meeting virtually.

Among others, ACR Rajouri Mohammad Jahangir Khan, ACD Auqib Naveed, CEO Iqbal Hussain, and DIO NIC Muzaffar Mir were present in the meeting.
