Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal today visited the Yatra Base Camp at the College Ground to welcome the 5th batch of Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims. He was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, ACD, Tehsildar Haveli, Additional Superintendent of Police   and other senior officers of the district administration.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various departmental stalls, reviewed the medical facilities being provided to the pilgrims, assessed the quality of langar(community kitchen) services and took stock of the security and lodging arrangements in place to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the district administration to ensure the successful and peaceful conduct of the yatra. He also extended a warm welcome to the pilgrims and urged them to continue visiting the holy shrine every year.
