In the wake of recent heavy rainfall and resulting landslides, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal today convened a meeting to assess the condition of roads in the district and review ongoing restoration measures.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik; Executive Engineers from all subdivisions, along with Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) and Junior Engineers (JEs).
The concerned officers apprised the Deputy Commissioner of the current condition of roads in their respective jurisdictions, particularly highlighting the areas affected by landslides and flash floods.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Engineers of BRO, PWD, PMGSY to closely monitor their respective areas and ensure immediate restoration of road connectivity for safe public movement and avert any inconvenience. He emphasized the need for swift and coordinated efforts to address the damage caused by recent weather conditions.
