Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission, Chairman  Jasvir Singh Garhi, visited the Dr. Ambedkar Library located at Sri Guru Ravidas Temple, Bombay Hill, Auckland, during his ongoing visit to New Zealand.

On the occasion, Mr. Garhi stated that the library is playing a significant role in connecting migrant Punjabi children with the Punjabi language. He emphasized that preserving and promoting the mother tongue is essential to passing Punjabi culture on to future generations.

He further noted that while the Sri Guru Ravidas Temple at Bombay Hill inspires people to follow the teachings of the Gurus, the library not only serves as a source of knowledge but also fosters a strong connection to cultural roots.

He was accompanied by President Nirmaljit Singh Bhatti, Vice President Malkiat Singh Sahota, General Secretary Hans Raj Kataria, Assistant Secretary Palwinder Singh, Treasurer Pradeep Kumar Chezar, Assistant Treasurer Surinder Kumar, Auditor Pankaj Kumar, and Members Piara Rattu, Ravinder Singh Jhammat, Kulwinder Singh Jhammat, Jaswinder Sandhu, and Karnail Badhan.
