A District Level Committee (DLC) meeting was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishr Gupta at Mini Secretariat to approve the verified cases for PMAY- U (2.0) in the urban area of Shopian.
A total of 28 eligible cases were recommended by the ULB-level committee to the District Level Committee for approval in the first phase. The committee was apprised that 273 beneficiaries were found eligible who had applied online upon ground level verification under the scheme.
After deliberations, the Committee approved all 28 cases for financial assistance to the eligible poor and homeless beneficiaries of the Shopian municipal area for assistance. Directions were also issued to the MC and revenue officers to expedite the clearance of land revenue titles for the remaining 245 cases.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Shopian, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ACR, Shakoor Ahmad Dar; Tehsildar Shopian, CEO MC and other members.
