Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora inaugurated the new building of Shaheed Bhagwan Singh Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) in Longowal. The building was constructed at a cost of Rs 6.10 crore and was completed in a record time of 2 years.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government is working on a large scale to strengthen health, education, and basic infrastructure in the state. He said that when the intention and policy are clear, no work is hindered.

He added that the previous governments' bad intentions and policies had set back the state's development, but the current government is prioritizing comprehensive development. The Minister said that the new school building has modern facilities, including 14 classrooms, a computer lab, geography lab, robotics lab, IT lab, beauty and wellness lab, English listening lab, science lab, meeting hall, dining room, and more.

He said that the school was previously located in a congested market, making it difficult for girls to commute. The new building will provide a safe and conducive learning environment for the students.

Aman Arora said that the school's construction was a long-pending demand, and the current government has fulfilled it. He added that the government is prioritizing the development of the area and aims to complete all pending work within the next year.

The Deputy Commissioner, Sandeep Rishi, congratulated the residents and wished the students a bright future. He said that the new building will boost the students' confidence and improve their communication skills.

The event was attended by Gurvinder Kaur Brar, President of the Longowal Municipal Council, Avtar Singh Eilwal, Chairman Improvement Trust Sangrur and other officials and residents.
