MLA from Central Assembly constituency Dr Ajay Gupta today inaugurated a new tubewell in Ward No. 63 Shiv Nagar Colony. MLA Dr Gupta said that no shortage will be allowed in development works. He said that even before the onset of summer, work to install tubewells had already been started in those areas of the Central Assembly constituency where there was a shortage of drinking water.
Now these tubewells have started. He said that still 4 more new tubewells are yet to be started. MLA Dr Ajay Gupta said that he himself is going among the people to provide all the basic facilities to the people. He said that especially in Walled City, the problems that commercial shopkeepers are facing in getting a new electricity meter installed, this problem will also be solved in the coming days.
MLA Gupta said that people will not have to make rounds to get NOC from the MTP department of the Municipal Corporation for getting a new electricity meter installed and increasing the load of the meter. The rule of NOC will be abolished. He said that talks have been held with the higher officials for this.
Notification will also be issued in the coming days. He said that the work of winding the Jhabbal road has started. After the winding of the road, the work of making the road with premix will also be started.
He said that in the same way, work is being started to build other roads of the Central Assembly constituency. He said that the Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann is not allowing any shortage of funds for development works.
On this occasion, Deputy Mayor Anita Rani's son Tarundeep Candy, Raja, Bittu Dodhi, Baldev Singh, a large number of people from the area and Municipal Corporation officials were present.
