The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) continues to strengthen its cadre and commitment to public service with the induction of a prominent industrialist and Hockey India Vice President, Nitin Kohli, into the party. Kohli was welcomed into the AAP family by Punjab Incharge Manish Sisodia and President Aman Arora in a formal event today.

On this occasion AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi was also present.Expressing his gratitude and enthusiasm after formally joining the AAP, Kohli stated, “I am deeply impressed by AAP's focus on industries and their commitment to Punjab's development.

This is the party that genuinely prioritizes the welfare of citizens, and I am eager to contribute to the growth of industries and the welfare of Jalandhar under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal Ji and Bhagwant Mann Ji.”

In recognition of his dedication and leadership potential, Nitin Kohli has been appointed as the in-charge of the Jalandhar Central constituency. He will set up a local office to address public grievances and ensure effective outreach to the community.

Nitin Kohli, a prominent industrialist from Jalandhar, is widely recognized for his contributions across business, sports, education, and local governance. As the Managing Director of Hike Shoe Pvt Ltd and founder of the sports shoe brand Tracer, he has combined entrepreneurial vision with a commitment to providing affordable, high-quality products.

Kohli also serves as Chairman of the Punjab Leather Federation and SPORTTX, the Sports and Toys Exporters Association, fostering collaboration among stakeholders in these industries. His dedication to education is evident through his leadership as Chairman of Cambridge International School Co-Ed in Jalandhar.

In the realm of sports, Kohli has played a pivotal role in promoting hockey, both locally and nationally. Starting with his family's brand, Vijayanti, he elevated it to global recognition in hockey equipment manufacturing.

His efforts earned him key leadership roles, including President of Hockey Punjab and Vice President of Hockey India, where he has been instrumental in nurturing talent and driving reforms. With a dynamic presence across sectors, Kohli's contributions continue to create significant impact in his community and beyond.

Addressing the gathering, Manish Sisodia hailed Nitin Kohli’s inclusion as a moment of pride for AAP Punjab. “Nitin Kohli is not new to Jalandhar or AAP. He has been supporting our vision for Punjab since the party’s inception. Today, his formal induction marks a new chapter for the party in Jalandhar,” said Sisodia.

He further emphasized AAP’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption. Referring to the recent arrest of Jalandhar Central MLA Raman Arora in a vigilance case, Mr. Sisodia reiterated, “AAP is the only party that takes immediate action against any wrongdoing, irrespective of whether the individual is a party member or an outsider. No one will be spared if found guilty.”

Drawing a sharp contrast, Sisodia criticized by the BJP for turning a blind eye to corruption, citing an example from Gujarat where the Panchayati Raj Minister’s son was involved in a ₹71 crore scam. “While other parties shield wrongdoers, AAP sets an example by taking strict action,” he remarked.

Welcoming Nitin Kohli, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen the party’s presence in Jalandhar and Punjab at large. “Nitin Kohli's clean image, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to public welfare align perfectly with AAP’s principles. His joining adds new energy and strength to the party,” said Arora.

He praised AAP's unique approach of empowering individuals from non-political backgrounds, stating, “AAP provides a platform for capable individuals to excel and serve. Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, those who adhere to the party's principles of clean politics will achieve great heights.”

The party reiterated its commitment to Punjab’s development under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann. With a focus on eradicating drug abuse and corruption, improving education, generating employment, and creating a business-friendly environment, AAP aims to uplift every household and contribute to the state’s economic progress.

“Nitin Kohli's decision to join AAP reflects the trust Punjab’s industrial community has in our governance and policies. This partnership will drive transformative development in Jalandhar and beyond,” said Sisodia.
