Punjab Public Works Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO and MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta inaugurated the development work of road construction on Chabal Road near Dairy Complex Fatehpur area. Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that on the directions of Honorable Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a road network is being laid in Punjab.
Link roads are also being started in the coming days. He said that MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta had been demanding the repair of the damaged portion of this road for a long time. He said that it took some time but this road is now being completely constructed from Gate Khazana to Ibn.
He said that a bridge is also being constructed on the drain of the road which is about 6 km long. Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta lives among the people and solves their problems.
He said that whatever demand MLA Dr. Gupta has for his constituency, even if it is related to PCPCL, it is done on priority basis. On this occasion, MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta said that the construction of this historic road is being started by fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people.
MLA Gupta said that thousands of devotees pass through this historic road every day to visit Baba Buddha Sahib Gurdwara and Pahu village, the birthplace of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh. This road connects Amritsar with Bhikhiwind and Khemkaran.
The condition of this road was not good. He said that this road is being constructed at a cost of about Rs 9.84 crore, 6 km long and 34 feet wide. He said that a 36 feet wide bridge is also being constructed on the drain of this road.
Footpaths will be constructed on both sides of the bridge. He said that white line, zebra line and eye cat will also be installed on this road. He said that good lighting will be installed on this road.
A large number of people living on both sides of this road will benefit from it. A large number of Aam Aadmi Party volunteers, people of the area and officials of the Public Works Department were present on this occasion.
On this occasion, SE Mr. Harjot Singh, EX Mr. Simarjit Singh, JE Gagandeep Singh, Ankush Salarian, and other officers were also present.
