The newly appointed Chairperson of Jalandhar Improvement Trust, Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, along with trustees Dr. Jasbir Singh, Harcharan Singh Sandhu, and Atam prakash Singh Bablu, officially took charge today. 

On this occasion, Punjab Aam Aadmi Party President Aman Arora, Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh, and Punjab Tourism and Cultural Board Advisor Deepak Bali were present. 

Former Minister and MLA Balkar Singh, Jalandhar Central MLA Raman Arora, Nakodar MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann, District President Amritpal Singh, Mayor Vineet Dhir, Deputy Mayor Malkit Subhana, Pawan Tinu, Chandan Grewal, North Constituency In-charge Dinesh Dhall, and Gurinder Singh Jamsher were also present. 

All senior leaders celebrated the moment by offering sweets to Rajwinder Kaur Thiara and congratulating her. In the absence of Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, his son Atul honored Thiara on his behalf.

Punjab AAP President Aman Arora congratulated Rajwinder Kaur and expressed his confidence that she will carry out her new responsibilities with dedication and diligence. He added that in the coming days, more party volunteers would be rewarded with appropriate recognition based on their hard work and commitment. 

He emphasized that under the leadership of National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the anti-drug campaign has gained immense support from the public. This campaign, titled "War Against Drugs," will be further intensified in the days to come. 

Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh stated that the Aam Aadmi Party always stands with the common people. Punjab has now begun its journey towards becoming a vibrant state. He added that women are highly respected in the Aam Aadmi Party, and the party has always honored them. 

He reiterated that corruption of any kind would not be tolerated within the party. Punjab Tourism and Cultural Board Advisor Deepak Bali mentioned that Rajwinder Kaur's joining was officially facilitated today. 

He highlighted that Rajwinder Kaur has been working with the Aam Aadmi Party since its inception. Owing to her dedicated service and loyalty to the party, National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann have entrusted her with the responsibility of serving Jalandhar. 

He further added that Rajwinder Kaur has always voiced her concerns regarding every matter of the city with the government. Hence, she is expected to continue doing excellent work for Jalandhar in the future.

After taking charge, Rajwinder Kaur Thiara expressed her gratitude to the state’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, and the entire leadership of the party. She said, "Today, the Aam Aadmi Party has placed an ordinary daughter of an ordinary household in this chair. 

The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has done commendable work, which has brought us here today." She also issued a stern warning to officials, stating that corruption within the department would not be tolerated under any circumstances. She assured that pending public works would be expedited and invited citizens to approach her directly if they face any problems.
