Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the functioning of the Eklavya Model Residential School Tangmarg. During the meeting, the Principal of the school informed the chair about the available facilities and additional requirements of the residential school including the hostel facility for students, computer lab and library.

He also informed the chair that presently there are 140 students enrolled in the Residential School and this year there will be addition of more 60 students. The DC also took stock of progress of construction work of teachers quarters, boundary wall besides developing the infrastructure in respect to intake capacity of school.

He further stressed the importance of ensuring that the students have access to all necessary resources including computer lab, library and laboratory facilities to excel in their academic pursuits, including extra-curricular activities.

DC also highlighted the need for regular monitoring of the academic progress of the students and stressed to ensure availability of requisite facilities for the students at the Residential school.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Altaf Ahmad Khan; CPO, Ex., Engineer R&B DH Pora, CEO, Cluster Principal HSS Manzgam, Warden of School and other officers of School Education Department.
