MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has demanded compensation for the crop destroyed by hailstorm and heavy rain in Amritsar's Ajnala and Rajasansi areas late last evening. He has demanded from the government that the area's girdawari should be done as soon as possible so that the farmers' loss can be compensated.

MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that the farmer nurtures the crop like his children and then his lifelong earnings depend on that crop. At this time wheat, mustard and other crops were ripening but the hailstorm that happened yesterday destroyed the entire crop.

Due to which the farmers' hopes have been shattered. He said that earlier the farmers are sitting on a dharna in front of the central government demanding MSP guarantee law and after that it is very painful for them to suffer such a loss.

That is why the government should get the Girdawari of Ajnala and Rajasansi area done as soon as possible and give proper compensation to the farmers. MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that there are many orchards in these areas whose fruits have also been damaged due to this hailstorm and the orchard owners have suffered losses.

Farmers should also get their survey done and include them in the compensation. MP Aujla said that the government should take a decision in this matter as soon as possible and give instructions to the administration so that the troubled farmers can see a ray of hope.
