A two-day International Conference on Life Sciences, Health, and Environmental Sustainability (ICLSHES 2025) organized by Rayat Bahra University’s Department of Life Sciences. The event, being held in hybrid mode, is being held under the aegis of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST), Department of Science & Technology (DST), National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), and the Microbiological Society of India (MBSI) in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club.

The conference which was aimed to foster discussions on cutting-edge advancements in life sciences, health, and environmental sustainability. It featured keynote sessions, expert talks, research paper presentations, project displays, scientific exhibitions, panel discussions, and interactive competitions.

The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Dr Simerjit Kaur, Director-IQAC, Rayat Bahra University, followed by the lamp-lighting ceremony and a floral welcome of dignitaries. Dr Varinder Garg, OSD to President PGIMER (Union Health Minister, India), who was the Chief Guest, underlined the importance of exchange of ideas and networking amongst national and international researchers.

Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra in his address expressed optimism that the keynote sessions, expert talks, research paper presentation, and discussions as well as highly engaging projects and quiz competitions on the theme had proved beneficial for the participants.

Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, said the international conference was aimed at creating an ecosystem for multidisciplinary education, research and funding. On the second day, S. Shivdular Singh Dhillon, IAS (Retd.), Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, addressed the gathering as the Chief Guest. 

The Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) Neena Pajni Seth, Principal, GPC, Khanna, also shared valuable insights. Dr DPS Badwal, Founder and CEO of JUST Agriculture, dwelt on strategies for entrepreneurship growth.  

Dr GR Chaudhary, Chairperson, Department of Chemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Dr. Amit Kumar from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA (online mode) delivered the keynote address.

A special conference issue of the Rayat Bahra International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (RBIJMR). An Abstract Booklet of the Conference was also released by dignitaries.
