Issues directions for providing quality health services to patients SAS Nagar, January 12: Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain paid a visit to District Hospital and reviewed health facilities and medical arrangements in the hospital. She inspected the records and availability of essential medicines and medical equipment and directed that a requisite stock of medicines should be made available at all times.
She also took stock of the cleanliness of the hospital including the emergency ward and instructed the officials to keep the entire hospital neat and clean. She also interacted with the patients. Dr Jain asked the entire staff including the doctors to accord full attention to the patients coming in emergency and start their examination and treatment immediately.
She asked them to provide better health facilities to the people visiting the government health institutions and the patients should not face any difficulty. The civil surgeon asked the doctors to prescribe only generic and other medicines which are available in the hospital pharmacy and not make patients buy medicines from private medical shops.
