Lovely Professional University (LPU) celebrated its 19th Foundation Day. On this occasion, LPU awarded its 134 exceptional and dedicated teachers, researchers, and administrators for their academic contributions. Addressing all the faculty and staff members, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, LPU’s Founder Chancellor and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) said, “Teachers are the architects of our future, guiding and inspiring generations to reach their full potential.
Now the criteria of the placement/requirement of the industry are changing, so we need to adapt and develop the educational approach. We can’t continue with the same education system. Don’t compete with the universities of India; now we are competing at the global level.
If a student can get global exposure in entertainment, then why not in education? LPU is always a trend setter; it may be in education, placement sports, or any field, so today LPU must give a call to revolutionise education to bring a new education system for the world”. On this occasion, LPU Pro Chancellor Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Director General Er HR Singla, Pro Vice Chancellors Dr Lovi Raj Gupta and Dr Sanjay Modi, and Executive Dean Dr Monica Gulati also presented.
Researchers were lauded with cash awards of Rs 3 crore, approx. These researchers were awarded on the basis of papers published in highly reputed journals indexed in Scopus/WoS, number of granted patents, number of book chapters in indexed category. Cultural program showcased a play staged by the faculty, illustrating the transformative power of a teacher who, through personal growth and dedication, ignites a spark of motivation in their students.
