Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ghansham Thori, the district administration provides facilities to the common people at different places every week under "Aap Di Sarkar Aap De Dwar". Special camps are being organized across the district. Today the camp of Amritsar Central Assembly Constituency was organized at DAV Senior Secondary School Hathi Gate.
MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori specially attended this camp. MLA Dr Gupta said that under the "Aap Di Sarkar Aap De Dwar" campaign, the problems of the common people are not only heard by the officials of various departments under one roof but are also resolved on the spot, which saves the time of the common people and also reduces the expenses.
Complaints were also received on this occasion, which were forwarded to the concerned department for resolution. He said that due to the holding of these special camps, people are not having to make rounds of different offices. He also said that no needy beneficiary will be deprived of various facilities provided by the government.
MLA Dr Gupta said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his MLAs are engaged in serving the people day and night. He said that the guarantees made to the people are being fulfilled and the guarantees which were not made are also being fulfilled. Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ghanshyam Thori said that today 365 people applied for services related to various departments in the camp and 200 people were provided services on the spot.
He said that during the camp, apart from the Revenue Department and Health Department, problems related to pension, disability certificate, drainage of water from ponds and streets, birth and death certificate of Municipal Corporation, drinking water and development works came up. He said that the officers/employees of the concerned departments were ordered to ensure that every beneficiary is informed about all the facilities provided by the government and the concerned department so that no beneficiary is deprived of any facility.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the next camp will be organized on September 3 at Gurudwara Sri Guru Granth Sahib Singh Sabha Kathunangal Majitha District Amritsar and on September 5 at the School of Eminence Chheharta of Vidhan Sabha Constituency West to listen to the problems of the people.
