The Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today asked the Chief Administrator Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) to immediately release Rs. 45 lac to the Ishmeet Singh Musical Institute for the current financial year.Presiding over a meeting of the Governing Body of Ishmeet Singh Musical Institute here at Punjab Bhawan this morning, Mr. Badal also entrusted the task of maintenance and upkeep of the Institute to GLADA.
The Chief Minister also gave nod to take Mr. Gurpinder Singh, the father of late Ishmeet Singh on the Governing Body of the Institute and also authorized the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana for taking decisions regarding the appointment of official auditor.Prominent among others who were present in the meeting included Principal Secretary Cultural Affairs Mr. SS Channy, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rahul Tiwari, Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. KJS Cheema, and Director of the Institute Mr. Charan Kanwal Singh besides Bhai Baldeep Singh and Prof. Kartar Singh.
