For providing housing to labour working in different industrial houses of Ludhiana, a meeting was held in the Deputy Commissioner office. The meeting was attended by MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi, besides other senior officers from Railways etc.
It is pertinent to mention that for the widening of Railway Line near Dhuri line area, 31 houses are coming in way. During the meeting, it was suggested by MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina that MC Ludhiana should allot residential flats located in Giaspura and Dhandari areas to the 31 families whose land is coming in way of widening of railway line near Dhuri line area.
During the meeting, it was decided that MC would submit a proposal in this regard to the Punjab government. DC Sakshi Sawhney said that the meeting was very productive. She said that the MLA had raised the issue of labour working in different industrial houses of Ludhiana, is residing in slums and vehras located in various areas falling under Ludhiana (South) constituency.
It was deliberated that housing for labour working with various industries could be taken up under the EWS housing policy in partnership with the industries where they worked so that labour could be provided amenities and housing with dignity. MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina said that today’s meeting was held in a very productive manner and several issues pertaining to labour residing in her constituency were discussed.
She said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government is committed for providing best civic amenities to the residents.

ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਕਾਨ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਰਜਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਕੌਰ ਛੀਨਾ, ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ, ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਧੂਰੀ ਲਾਈਨ ਖੇਤਰ ਨੇੜੇ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਲਾਈਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੌੜਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ 31 ਮਕਾਨ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਰਜਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਕੌਰ ਛੀਨਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਿਆਸਪੁਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਢੰਡਾਰੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 31 ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਫਲੈਟ ਅਲਾਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਧੂਰੀ ਲਾਈਨ ਖੇਤਰ ਨੇੜੇ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਲਾਈਨ ਚੌੜੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਸੌਂਪੇਗਾ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਾਭਕਾਰੀ ਰਹੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਛੀਨਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ (ਦੱਖਣੀ) ਹਲਕੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਝੁੱਗੀਆਂ-ਝੌਂਪੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਹੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਉਠਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਫੈਕਟਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਇਕਾਈਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਈ.ਡਬਲਿਊ.ਐਸ. ਪਾਲਿਸੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਕਾਨ ਲਏ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਰਜਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਕੌਰ ਛੀਨਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।
