In a massive gathering at Ludhiana East, people witnessed a fervent display of support for Congress’ Lok Sabha candidate, Raja Warring. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Raja Warring reminisced about the unwavering love he received from the residents of Gidderbaha, who elected him as MLA thrice consecutively.
He expressed profound gratitude to the people of Ludhiana for embracing him with similar warmth, invoking their support for a brighter future for the city. Joining the rally, Sachin Pilot, General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and former Deputy CM of Rajasthan, urged the citizens of Ludhiana to entrust Raja Warring with the responsibility of representing their aspirations in Parliament.
Reflecting on the significance of the upcoming election, Pilot emphasized the need to hold the incumbent government accountable for its decade-long tenure, citing issues of inflation, unemployment, and corruption.
"In our manifesto, we have promised to provide ₹1,00,000 annually to underprivileged families to combat the burden of inflation," stated Pilot, underlining Congress’ commitment to addressing the challenges faced by ordinary citizens.
Criticizing the BJP's campaign rhetoric and highlighting their diversionary tactics from pressing issues affecting the populace, he said, “The BJP has been making empty promises across all platforms.
However, when asked about development, they shift the conversation to topics like Hindu-Muslim relations, temple-mosque issues, mangalsutra, and India-Pakistan matters. They avoid discussing crucial issues such as roads, electricity, youth, business, inflation, employment, and investment.
Not a single BJP leader has committed to reducing inflation if they return to power, despite their 2014 slogans of 'Mehangayi Dayan Maar gayi' aimed at the Congress government.""This election marks an opportunity for transformative change," asserted Pilot, affirming his support for Raja Warring as a staunch advocate for Ludhiana's interests in the parliamentary corridors.
Expressing confidence in Raja Warring's victory, Pilot underscored the broader objective of the India Alliance against the BJP, emphasizing the pivotal role of the opposition in a democratic framework. He urged citizens across demographics to rally behind the Congress, safeguarding the democratic ethos of the nation.
Sachin Pilot reiterated the Congress's poll promises, including legalizing MSP and providing jobs for the youth in the central government. He pointed out that people are familiar with the Congress manifesto but haven't even bothered to read the BJP's, as they won't fall for empty promises again.
He expressed confidence in Raja Warring's victory and the success of the India Alliance against the BJP. Despite the BJP's claims of making India "Congress Mukt," they forget that Congress is the largest opposition party in India.
In a democracy, the opposition is as important as the government in power. He accused the BJP of seizing Congress accounts to hinder their resistance and weakening central agencies like the ED, CBI, and judiciary. He urged people of all castes, creeds, and genders to support the Congress party in this fight to protect democracy.

ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਇਕੱਠ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਰੀ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਭੀੜ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਗਿੱਦੜਬਾਹਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਿੱਘ ਨਾਲ ਗਲੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਜਵਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤਹਿ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਰੈਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ, ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਚਿਨ ਪਾਇਲਟ ਨੇ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੰਸਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਣ। ਆਗਾਮੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਪਾਇਲਟ ਨੇ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ, ਬੇਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਲ ਲਈ ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਆਮ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਪਾਇਲਟ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਸਾਡੇ ਚੋਣ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਸੀਂ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਦੇ ਬੋਝ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ 1,00,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।" ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਭਾਜਪਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਨਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਿੰਦੂ-ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ, ਮੰਦਰ-ਮਸਜਿਦ ਮੁੱਦੇ, ਮੰਗਲਸੂਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸੜਕਾਂ, ਬਿਜਲੀ, ਨੌਜਵਾਨ, ਵਪਾਰ, ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ, ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਵਰਗੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸੇ ਸਿਲਸਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ 2014 ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ 'ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਡੈਣ ਮਾਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ' ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਆਗੂ ਨੇ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ 'ਤੇ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ।'
ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੱਟੜ ਸਮਰਥਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪਾਇਲਟ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਇਹ ਚੋਣ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੈ।" ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ 'ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਪਾਇਲਟ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਤਾਂਤਰਿਕ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਦੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਭਾਰਤ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਸਚਿਨ ਪਾਇਲਟ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਵਾਅਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮਐਸਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੱਤਰ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਖੇਚਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਖਾਲੀ ਵਾਅਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਫਸਣਗੇ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਭਾਰਤ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ‘ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਮੁਕਤ’ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਦਾਅਵਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਉਹ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਓਨੀ ਹੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ 'ਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਖਾਤੇ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਾੜਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਈਡੀ, ਸੀਬੀਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂਪਾਲਿਕਾ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਜਾਤਾਂ, ਧਰਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਿੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਦੇਣ।ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਏਕਤਾ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸਚਿਨ ਪਾਇਲਟ ਦੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
