Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Parliamentary constituency NK Sharma today rode on tractor to reach Mini Secretariat to file his nomination papers in presence of Former Minister Surjit Singh Rakhra. His wife Babita Sharma filed papers as his covering candidate.

Riding on tractor with his supporters, NK Sharma said that he is son of a farmer and is proud of his legacy. He said that their agriculture land had many problems including water logging but they continued to farming and earn their livelihood.

He said that it is only Akali Dal which has always worked for betterment of farmers. It is only regional party of the state which cares for local aspirations and stood with them thick and thin.Later NK Sharma reached election rally venue on tractor and held an impressive show of strength with massive show. Whole Patiala district Akali Dal leaders rallied behind him to ensure his victory.

Addressing rally, NK Sharma said that he is a simple man who is contesting against royals and ruling government candidates including Preneet Kaur and Dr. Balbir Singh. Launching a scathing attack on his opponents, NK Sharma said that Preneet got elected MP four times on Congress ticket but was now demanding votes for BJP.

He said that similarly Dr. Dharmvir Gandhi used to claim that he hates Congress but now after joining Congress he is banking on Congress votes to secure victory. He said that as an MP performance of both Preneet Kaur and Dr. Gandhi is zero.

He said that similarly during his tenure of Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh has failed miserably. He said that not even a single addition has been made in already existing health infrastructure and people were crying for getting medicines.

He said that Bhagwant Mann government has tried to befool people with Aam Admi clinics but all other hospitals have no proper doctors, para medical staff and other facilities.

He said that in these two years, Punjabis are feeling betrayed and they were ready to teach this government a life time lesson.

Addressing the gathering former Minister Surjit Singh Rakhra said that Punjabis are felt betrayed due to non-performance of Congress and AAP governments. They have realized that if any party can work for betterment of Punjab and Punjabis, it is only Akali Dal. He said that strong wave is blowing in favour of Akali Dal in the state and it will sweep elections.

Others present on the occasion included former MLAs Harpreet Kaur Mukhmailpur, Vaninder Kaur Loomba, District President Jarnail Singh Kartarpur, urban President Amit Rathi, SGPC members Surjit Singh Garhi, Jasmer Singh Lachru, Satwinder Singh Tohra and Parmjit Kaur Landran, Jaspal Singh Bittu Chattha, Amarinder Singh Bajaj, Kabir Das, Makhan Singh Lalka, Charanjit Singh Brar, YAD President Sarbjit Singh Jhinder, Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna besides other local leaders.
