Under the efforts being made to increase the poll percentage during the Lok sabha elections in District Moga, the District Administration has chalked out a comprehensive plan to touch all voters (including eligible voters) so that they could cast their votes. In this regard, District Election Officer - cum - Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh held a meeting with SVEEP Nodel officers, Nodel Officers for various election works and others. Assistant Commissioner General cum District Nodal Officer SVEEP Mrs Shubhi Angra was also specially present in the meeting.
While giving directions, DEO-cum-DC Mr Kulwant Singh said that in the last Lok Sabha Elections held in 2019, the vote poll percentage was very poor in district Moga, only 58 per cent of voters turned out to cast their vote as compared to state statistics that 67 per cent. Moreover, women's participation was also very low. He said that this time administration wanted to improve this area.
To achieve 'Is baar 70 paar' goal set by the Election Commission of India, first of all, the focus must be given to the registration of new voters. IELTS centres and educational institutions should be approached to find eligible voters. He directed education officials to speed up the registration work of students who are crossing the age of 18 till the last day of nominations.
He said that to encourage voters to cast their votes, Model Polling Stations, Pink Polling Stations, PWD Polling Stations and Young Employees Polling Stations will be set up in all assembly constituencies. He said that women icons were working to motivate women to participate actively in the election process.
Labour working in brick kilns, factories and commercial complexes was being motivated for the same. Electoral Literacy Clubs have been activated to speed up the registration work. The district administration would carry out Flagg and mohalla marches shortly in the entire district, he added. He appealed to the residents to cast their votes and motivate others to strengthen the democracy of our country.

ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮੋਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੋਟ ਫ਼ੀਸਦ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ (ਯੋਗ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ) ਨੂੰ ਛੋਹਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਉਲੀਕੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੋਟ ਜਰੂਰ ਪਾਉਣ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ-ਕਮ-ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਏ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ, ਸਵੀਪ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜਨਰਲ) ਕਮ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸਵੀਪ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸ਼ੁਭੀ ਆਂਗਰਾ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ 2019 ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮੋਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੋਟ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤਤਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾੜੀ ਰਹੀ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ 58 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਵੋਟਰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਜਦਕਿ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਅੰਕੜੇ 67 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਸੀ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੈਅ ਕੀਤੇ‘ਇਸ ਵਾਰ 70 ਪਾਰ’ ਟੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯੋਗ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਆਈਲੈਟਸ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ 18 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਆਂਦੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਡਲ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ, ਪਿੰਕ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ, ਦਿਵਿਆਂਗ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਆਈਕਨਜ਼ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਇੱਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੱਠਿਆਂ, ਫੈਕਟਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਲੈਕਟੋਰਲ ਲਿਟਰੇਸੀ ਕਲੱਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਲੈਗ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਹੱਲਾ ਮਾਰਚ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੋਟਰ ਬਣਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੋਟ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ
