Ludhiana , 14 Aug 2013

The Punjab Revenue and Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia today demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe or inquiry by a Supreme Court Judge in alleged misdeeds of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra. He said that the whole nation was eagerly waiting for the exposure of dubious land deals made by Mr. Vadra.

Interacting with media persons, Mr. Majithia said that Congress was adopting double standards as on one side it was supporting UP IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal and on the other an upright IAS officer Ashok Khemka was being targeted and marginalised for his exposure of Vadra land scams. He said that Congress led UPA was virtually on ventilator as it has been compelled to announce special packages to keep intact its pulse and pointed out that packages of Rs. 9000 crore and Rs. 13000 crore were issued for UP and Bihar respectively.

Taking to the task to Congress Ministers from Punjab in UPA government, Mr. Majithia dared them to show a single project, which they have got sanctioned for Punjab and accused them of playing destructive role. He asked Union I & B Minister Mr. Manish Tiwari that which industrial package he has got approved for Ludhiana and said that what Union Minister of state for Health Mrs. Santosh Chaudhary has done for Punjab except making  hue and cry over Chief Minister’s picture at 108 Ambulance service. He said that Congress MPs have also failed in their duty to raise issues concerning state in Parliament,

Lashing out at Punjab Congress President Mr. Partap Singh Bajwa,  Mr. Majitha said that Bajwa was seen by every citizen of the country that how he sided with butchers’ of 84’massacre in Parliament and opposed SAD-BJP MPs , who were raising the issue of justice for thousands of innocent victims. He said that he can’t dare to raise any demand of Punjab in front of his party high command and he got a single package during his whole political career that too PCC Presidentship for himself but no finding it too hot to handle. He challenged Mr. Bajwa to contest from Gurdaspur parliamentary seat to check his popularity.

Talking about the Food Security Bill Mr. Majithia said that Mr. Parkash Singh Badal had launched the Atta-Dal Scheme for the people of Punjab immediately after the formation of Akali-BJP government in the state and Congress leaders always criticised it at every platform. He said that now Congress led UPA Government was trying to copy this scheme in the name of food security bill. He added that intentions of Congress were not clear as bill of food security was being presented as a formality as it has no time to implement it. Mr. Majithia said that people were fully aware of corrupt practises of congress and they would teach them lesson in the coming elections.

Earlier, inaugurating a blood donation camp dedicated to Uttarakhand victims and 67th Independence Day of our country, Mr. Majithia said that all donations to charity make a difference but nothing was comparable to the donation of human blood. He said that in spite of the remarkable achievements of medical science today, there was no factory that manufactures blood. It was only in human beings that human blood was made and circulated. He said that blood donation was a social responsibility. He said that the tragic saga of flood victims in Uttarakhand was beyond anybody's description as thousands of people have been rendered homeless and infrastructure worth Rupees thousands of crore had been vanished due to the flash floods. Mr. Majithia called upon the YAD to launch campaigns to eradicate social evils such as female foeticide, Dowry, Drugs etc. He said that YAD leaders should lead front the front to develop Healthy Society.

Later on Mr. Majithia launched a greening campaign ‘each one, plant one’ aimed to save the ecology of the region. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Majithia said that trees were essential to life as we know it. He said that our existing forests and the trees we plant, work in tandem to make a better world. He informed that the Punjab government has launched a “Greening Punjab Mission” to enhance the forest coverage from present 7% to 15% of the geographical area of the state by planting 40 crore plants in the next 7 years. Every year 5 crore saplings were being planted, he added.

Mr. Majithia exhorted the youth cadre to launch concerted campaign to teach historic lesson to the anti-Punjab Congress party in the coming parliamentary elections for making a way for installation of NDA government. He said that it was also a high time for youth cadre to disseminate the pro-people development policies of SAD-BJP government while cautioning the people of the state about the corrupt and anti poor policies of Congress led UPA.

Others prominent present on the occasion were Mr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon Cabinet Minister, Punjab, Mr. MaheshInder Singh Grewal Advisor CM, Mr. Manpreet Singh Ayali MLA, Mr. S.R Kaler MLA, mr.
