Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Anurag Agarwal, directs district election officers to complete the inspection of polling stations in the respective districts by tomorrow. Apart from this, efforts should be made to increase voter awareness through various means.

Sh. Anurag Agarwal today was presiding a review meeting with Deputy Commissioners and District Election Officers here today through video conferencing. He emphasized that all District Election Officers should establish control rooms in their respective districts, which would be highly beneficial.

Furthermore, cameras should be installed outside each polling station for monitoring purposes. Additionally, toll-free number 1950, as well as the telephone numbers of CEO and DEO offices, should be displayed outside each polling station so that voters can promptly report any issues to the administration.

He also directed all District Election Officers to set up selfie points at all polling stations. Moreover, efforts should be made to encourage young voters to cast their votes. Besides this, voters should be encouraged to scan the QR code and upload their photos after voting.

Sh. Anurag Agarwal emphasized the dissemination of awareness videos prepared by the ECI and Haryana Election Office through local cable TV networks and broadcasting the audio through FM radio to increase voter turnout. He also directed that awareness voting stickers be placed near lifts in district secretariats, government buildings, and court complexes.

He informed that 454 complaints have been registered on the C Vigil app from March 16 to date, out of which 329 have been found to be valid, and solutions have been provided for 147 complaints. He directed officials to promptly address upcoming complaints. Additionally, pending work related to Form 6 should be completed by April 26.

He also directed that districts that have not yet submitted hard copies of the district election arrangements plan to the Election Commission should do so immediately. Furthermore, 100% physical verification of counting centres should be done, and a proposal should be sent to the ECI.
