The 1 Punjab Girls Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Amritsar, in coordination with army battalion, is proud to announce the successful culmination of Army Attachment Camp of National Cadet Corps at Military station, Khasa.  

The 12 days camp was attended by 65 senior wing girl cadets of Army, Air and Naval NCC Battalions hailing from border areas of Amritsar, TarnTaran, Gurdaspur, Batala, Dhariwal and Dinanagar covering the Majha Belt. 

This remarkable opportunity aims to train and empower selected NCC girls cadets in exposure to military training in the environment of a regular Army unit to provide confidence , inspiration to join armed forces and serve the nation being a better citizen. It also entails to foster patriotism, leadership, and discipline among the young cadets. 

The Army Attachment Camp serves as a unique platform for the cadets to engage in a series of activities including physical fitness to include yoga, cross country, obstacle course; Weapon training, Firing, visit to Units, Tank Ride, sports competitions, interactions with lady officers, ex NCC cadets serving as officers and an outreach program by Army Recruiting Office, Amritsar. were conducted as part of training curriculum. 

In addition to above, cadets were also provided an exposure to various establishments of the army. Visit to BSF Force HQ, War Memorial and Wagah Border were also organised.Brigadier KS Bawa, the Group Commander of Amritsar Group, also visited the camp location on 18 Mar 24. 

The Group Commander addressed the cadets and motivated cadets to join armed forces and steered them to become good citizens of the nation to have an unwavering commitment towards nation-building. He visited the training area, living areas, Dining Hall and Cook house area and appreciated the camp arrangements.

National Cadet Corps Group, Amritsar remains indebted to the guidance of General Officer Commanding Panther Division and provisioning of administrative support under the directions of Commander Dograi Brigade for organising Army Attachment Camp which culminated on a high note and providing lifetime opportunity to young NCC girls cadets.
