In a bid to ensure optimum utilisation of the natural solar energy and decarbonise the agriculture sector as envisioned by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) is all set to provide 90,000 new solar pumps to farmers for agriculture purposes in the state, said Punjab New and Renewable Energy Sources Minister Mr. Aman Arora in Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday.
He was replying to MLA Shutrana Kulwant Singh Bazigar. Mr. Aman Arora said that 20,000 agriculture solar pump-sets will be provided under the first phase and the remaining 70,000 solar pumps will be given in the 2nd phase. He also made it clear that these solar pumps will be allotted to those farmers, who have a sprinkler and drip irrigation system in dark zones to save precious water.
However, farmers having land in no dark zone area can apply for solar pumps without the condition of sprinkler and drip irrigation system installed in their fields. Farmers will get a 60 percent subsidy on the solar pumps, he added. Replying to the question asked by MLA Harmit Singh Pathanmajra regarding installation of solar panels at the rooftops of Government schools in Sanaur constituency, Mr Aman Arora said that 15 solar rooftop PV panels with a capacity of 75-KW have already been installed at Government Schools in the Sanaur Constituency.
After the approval of funding, more government schools will be equipped with rooftop solar PV panels in the constituency. In a reply to question of MLA Ajit Pal Singh Kohli regarding covering the government and semi-government institutions under solar energy, New and Renewable Energy Sources Minister said that as many as 3355 rooftop solar power plants with a capacity of 19.784-MW have been installed at government and semi-government institutions including hospitals, schools and SPV plants of capacity 1.8MW are being installed at 317 schools.
Apart from this, Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Power Programme Phase-II has been handed over to the PSPCL and the latter has been executing the rooftop solar programme in the domestic sector in the state, he added.

ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ. ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਦੂਰਅੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸੋਚ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰਬਨ-ਰਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਊਰਜਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਏਜੰਸੀ (ਪੇਡਾ) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ 90,000 ਨਵੇਂ ਸੌਰ ਊਰਜਾ ਪੰਪ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਤੇ ਨਵਿਆਉਣਯੋਗ ਊਰਜਾ ਸਰੋਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਮਨ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਉਹ ਸ਼ੁਤਰਾਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜ਼ੀਗਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਮਨ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਅਧੀਨ 20,000 ਖੇਤੀ ਸੋਲਰ ਪੰਪ-ਸੈੱਟ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ 70,000 ਸੋਲਰ ਪੰਪ ਦੂਜੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਡਾਰਕ ਜ਼ੋਨਜ਼ (ਧਰਤੀ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਕਿੱਲਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਖੇਤਰ) ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਸੋਲਰ ਪੰਪ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਾਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੁਹਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਪਕਾ ਸਿੰਚਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਡਾਰਕ ਜ਼ੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਫੁਹਾਰਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਪਕਾ ਸਿੰਜਾਈ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਲਾਗੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਲਰ ਪੰਪਾਂ ਲਈ 60 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਸਬਸਿਡੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਹਲਕਾ ਸਨੌਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਛੱਤਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸੋਲਰ ਪੈਨਲ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਹਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਠਾਨਮਾਜਰਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ 'ਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਮਨ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਨੌਰ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ 'ਚ 75 ਕਿਲੋਵਾਟ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਾਲੇ 15 ਸੋਲਰ ਰੂਫਟਾਪ ਪੀ.ਵੀ. ਪੈਨਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ| ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਛੱਤਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਸੋਲਰ ਪੀ.ਵੀ. ਪੈਨਲ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਧ-ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਅਧੀਨ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਅਜੀਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਵਿਆਉਣਯੋਗ ਊਰਜਾ ਸਰੋਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਧ-ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 19.784 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਾਲੇ 3355 ਰੂਫ਼ਟਾਪ ਸੋਲਰ ਪਾਵਰ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ 317 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 1.8 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਐਸ.ਪੀ.ਵੀ. ਪਲਾਂਟ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਗਰਿੱਡ ਕੁਨੈਕਟਡ ਰੂਫਟਾਪ ਸੋਲਰ ਪਾਵਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿੰਮਾ ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ.ਸੀ.ਐੱਲ. ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੂਫਟਾਪ ਸੋਲਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
