JJM functionaries receive operations, management training

A four-day training for functionaries under the Jal Jeevan Mission began today at the DC Office. The program is aimed at training Pani Samiti members, self-help groups, Anganwadi workers and panchayat secretaries for the operation and management of JJM schemes. District Development Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan attended as the chief guest.

The training, a joint effort by the Jal Jeevan Mission and We the People Key Resource Centre New Delhi, covers JJM scheme operations, financial management and community mobilisation. The agenda includes interactive sessions, workshops and field visits for practical experience.The DDC, in his address, emphasised the importance of these functionaries in JJM scheme success and their role in improving water supply and sanitation in the district. 

He encouraged them to apply the training to enhance their skills.He also noted the role of Pani Samities in water conservation and management at the local level, urging them to work with the public to tackle water challenges. He acknowledged the efforts of Pani Samities in the district and assured administrative support.

The session concluded with an open discussion where participants shared feedback and views.Those present on the occasion included Rakesh Mahajan SE Hydraulic Circle Udhampur, Sunil Koul Consultant JJM, Rakesh Gupta XEn Jal Shakti Division Reasi, Kishor Kumar Mahajan XEn MID Dharmari, the DPMU Team and Ajay Mohapatra with his team.
