Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, Vice President of Shiromani Akali Dal and in-charge of the legislative assembly constituency Khadoor Sahib, accompanied by prominent SAD leader Gursewak Singh Sheikh, expressed profound sorrow and solidarity with the family of youth Gurpreet Singh Gopi at his residence in Chohla Sahib. Tragically, Gurpreet Singh Gopi was fatally shot near Fatehabad, Tarn Taran railway gate by unidentified assailants.
Brahmpura and Sheikh, putting aside political considerations, reassured Gurpreet Singh Gopi’s mother Sukhwinder Kaur, brother Nishan Singh, and other relatives that the perpetrators of this senseless act will face severe consequences.Emphasizing ongoing communication with law enforcement, Brahmpura confirmed that efforts are underway to swiftly apprehend those responsible for Gurpreet Singh Gopi’s tragic fate.
The administration is diligently overseeing the situation to ensure justice is served.In a gesture of compassion, Brahmpura and his associates met with Gurpreet Singh Gopi’s family members, including his father-in-law Anok Singh, to offer support during this time of mourning.
Addressing the media, Brahmpura expressed deep personal sorrow over the incident, citing it as a stark indicator of the deteriorating law and order under the current AAP government. Urging Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to take decisive action, he cautioned against the escalating threats faced by the youth from criminal elements.
Furthermore, Brahmpura called on the Aam Aadmi Party of Punjab to provide adequate compensation for farmers impacted by adverse weather conditions and crop losses, criticizing the government’s failure to address pressing agricultural issues.
