The Department of Radiology and Imaging Technology at University School of Allied Health Sciences, Rayat-Bahra University, Mohali, organized the 2nd Outreach Program on Breast Cancer Awareness at Gurudwara Dhana Bhagat Sahib Rurki Kham Tehsil Kharar. The event was aimed at educating and empowering the community regarding breast cancer, emphasizing early detection and the importance of regular screenings.

Under the guidance of Organizing Chairperson Dr Lalit Gupta, along with Organizing Secretary Mamta Panda and Secretary Varshdeep Kour, Mohani Gupta, Sapna Bhatt faculty, Kirandeep Kaur, office staff, and students of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (MRIT), USAHS, the outreach program encompassed a variety of activities aimed at spreading awareness about breast cancer.

Informative PowerPoint presentations by faculty member Mamta Panda highlighting the risks, symptoms, and importance of early detection was the highlight of the camp. A Nukkad Natak (street play) performed by the students of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, USAHS, portraying the journey of breast cancer awareness was also staged.

Informative posters and materials emphasizing the importance of regular screenings, healthy lifestyle practices, and early detection of breast cancer were put up as part of an awareness drive. The Breast Cancer Awareness Program actively sought feedback from female attendees to ensure the initiative catered effectively to their needs and concerns.

Through dedicated feedback forms, women shared their positive responses to the program. Their feedback underscored the program's success in engaging and empowering women with valuable knowledge about breast cancer prevention and early detection.

On behalf of Management and Department of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (MRIT) of Rayat Bahra University extended thanks to Karamjeet Kaur Sarpanch, Darshan Singh Bains, Bhag Singh, Gurinder Singh Bains, Guruwinder Singh Bains, Gurkaran Singh, Billu Panch, Jagtar Singh and the staff of Gurudwara Dhana Bhagat Sahib Rurki Kham, for their support in organizing the vital awareness program for the rural community.

Gurvinder singh Bahra, Chancellor of the rayat bahra University, and dr parvinder singh, vice-chancellor, appreciated the initiative taken by the Department of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology in organizing the program.
