In Kishtwar, a critical meeting was convened under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Devansh Yadav, focusing on the progress of infrastructure projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The session aimed to assess the current status of road and bridge construction activities throughout the district, ensuring that these vital connectivity projects are advancing as planned.

During the review, Dr. Yadav received detailed updates on the divisional and work-specific progress of PMGSY initiatives. With a keen interest in expediting the development work, he issued directives to the engineering teams to hasten the completion of pending tasks, highlighting the importance of projects like the Kuntwara Road for local connectivity.

Dr. Yadav specifically addressed the need for swift action on key infrastructures, such as the Mhow Bridge, Gandhari Road, and Chitto Road, stressing their timely completion to benefit the community. He underscored the urgency of making the Palali to Machail route vehicle-accessible up to Chasoti before the Annual Holy Machail Yatra, facilitating a smooth pilgrimage experience.

The Deputy Commissioner also advocated for a collaborative approach, urging stakeholders to conduct joint site visits to swiftly address and resolve any arising issues. The meeting saw participation from prominent PMGSY officials, including Ex En Marwah Mohd Aslam Lone and Ex En PMGSY Chatroo Iftikar Darvesh, alongside junior engineers and sector staff, all committed to enhancing Kishtwar's road connectivity for its residents and visitors.
