A group of 48 Farmers of Marh Sub-division  today left  for a 6-Day Exposure cum capacity building training to CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi-Vishav-Vidayalaya (CSKHPKVV) Palampur. The farmers' visit was flagged off by Director Agriculture Jammu, S. A. S. Reen here from Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan.The six day training visit w.e.f. 18th to 23rd of February, 2024 to CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi-Vishav-Vidayalaya (CSKHPKVV) Palampur has been arranged under HADP Project Promotion of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants.

The Director Agriculture Jammu, while interacting with the farmers, said that the exposure visit is being organized for acquainting the farmers to different aspects of Cultivation of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants besides Integrated Farming Systems including Organic Farming, Mushrooms Growing, Beekeeping, Animal Rearing, Vermi-composting, Vegetable Cultivation etc. 

He advised the farmers to interact with the scientists and research workers to get the clarifications regarding latest techniques being adopted in the farming.  He asked the farmers to utilize the technology in their fields after learning from such trainings and also share it with fellow farmers. 

Deputy Director (Central), Sanjhog Kotru , Agriculture Economist, Jog Raj Salathia, SDAO Marh, Sahil Gandotra besides other officers were present on the occasion. Two officers are also accompanying the farmers for the exposure visit to CSKHPKV, Alampur.
