Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today presided over a crucial meeting of the District Level Task Force to assess and discuss the preparations for the upcoming National Immunization Day. The comprehensive immunization campaign will be conducted in a single phase over a period of three days from 3rd of March onwards.

In this regard, a detailed action plan has been compiled. A Total of 647 vaccination booths, 12 transit points and 32 centres in high-risk areas have been set up in the district. As many as 90,390 children between 0 to 5 years age group are to be covered.

To ensure the effective implementation of the program, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the Additional Deputy Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Thanamandi to conduct similar meetings at the block level.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of the vaccination drive and directed the officers to exert their sincere efforts to ensure that no child in the targeted age group was left out in the process. He particularly highlighted the need to focus on identified high-risk areas.

"The success of this program depends on the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in achieving the target of 100% immunization coverage," stated the Deputy Commissioner. He further emphasized the strict adherence to the cold chain protocol to guarantee the safety and effectiveness of the vaccination campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the CEO Education to disseminate information regarding the immunization dates in the areas through schools. Additionally, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was instructed to maximize awareness of the program through various media channels, including electronic and print media.

The District Administration is fully committed to conducting a successful National Immunization Day, which is a critical step in safeguarding the health and well-being of our children. Among the others who attended the meeting were Program Officer ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Rajinder Sharma; District Information Officer, Mohammad Nawaz Choudhary; CEO Education, Bishamber Dass; District Immunization Officer and other concerned officers.
