Landran's Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) marked the conclusion of its three-day spectacular 18th Annual Sports Meet 2024 today. The event, renowned for its competitive spirit and athletic prowess, saw ace weightlifter and Arjuna Awardee, Vikas Thakur, as the chief guest.
Thakur, a three-time Commonwealth medallist, awarded medals and certificates to the standout athletes of the year, Jagdish Kumar Mandal and Jhanvi, in the male and female categories, respectively.The sports meet featured a variety of track and field events, including races, javelin throw, discus throw, and shotput, alongside team sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, and kabaddi, where winners were duly honored.
In individual achievements, the long jump event witnessed Divyanjali securing the gold and Khushboo the silver, with Janhvi clinching the bronze in the girls' category. The boys' long jump saw Abhinav winning gold, followed by Mukul with silver and Ansh with bronze.
Jhanvhi emerged victorious in the 400 meters race for girls, showcasing her exceptional athletic skills.The relay races added to the excitement, with the boys' team of Tarun, Sahil, Adnan, and Simroj winning the 4x100 relay, and the girls' team of Nihalini, Richa, Rimpi, and Janvi capturing victory in their category.
In the discus throw, Sanju triumphed in the girls' category, and Dhruv Singh took home the gold for the boys. The javelin throw saw Robin Singh winning for the boys and Sonam securing the gold for the girls. Shotput competitions concluded with Neha Bisht and Vishal Makkar winning gold in their respective categories.
The 18th Annual Sports Meet of CGC Landran not only celebrated the athletic achievements of its participants but also highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among students. The event successfully fostered a competitive yet supportive environment, setting a high standard for future meets.

ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ, ਵਾਲੀਬਾਲ, ਬਾਸਕਿਟ ਬਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਰੇਸ, ਜੈਵਲਿਨ ਥਰੋਅ, ਡਿਸਕਸ ਥਰੋਅ, ਸ਼ਾਟਪੁੱਟ ਸਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਰੈਕ ਅਤੇ ਫੀਲਡ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ।ਲੰਬੀ ਛਾਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ (ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਵਯਾਂਜਲੀ ਨੇ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਦਕਿ ਖੁਸ਼ਬੂ ਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਲੰਬੀ ਛਾਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ (ਲੜਕੇ) ਵਿੱਚ ਅਭਿਨਵ ਨੇ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਕੁਲ ਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ; ਅੰਸ਼ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।ਜਾਹਨਵੀ ਨੇ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ 400 ਮੀਟਰ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ 4x100 ਰਿਲੇਅ ਦੌੜ ਤਰੁਣ, ਸਾਹਿਲ, ਅਦਨਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਮਰੋਜ਼ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤੀ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ 4x100 ਰਿਲੇਅ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਹਾਲਿਨੀ, ਰਿਚਾ, ਰਿੰਪੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨਵੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਜੇਤੂ ਰਹੀ। ਸੰਜੂ ਨੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡਿਸਕਸ ਥਰੋਅ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 'ਚ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਜਦਕਿ ਧਰੁਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਡਿਸਕਸ ਥਰੋਅ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 'ਚ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ| ਰੋਬਿਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੈਵਲਿਨ ਥਰੋਅ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਦਕਿ ਸੋਨਮ ਨੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੈਵਲਿਨ ਥਰੋਅ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਟ ਪੁਟ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੇਹਾ ਬਿਸ਼ਟ ਨੇ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਜਦਕਿ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਮੱਕੜ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਟ ਪੁਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।

चंडीगढ़ ग्रुप ऑफ कॉलेजेस (सीजीसी) लांडरां की तीन दिवसीय, 18वीं वार्षिक स्पोर्ट्स मीट 2024 का आज समापन हो गया। इवेंट के चीफ गेस्ट अर्जुन अवार्डी और तीन बार कॉमनवेल्थ मेडलिस्ट, वेटलिफ्टर, विकास ठाकुर ने पुरुष और महिला श्रेणियों में सीजीसी के वर्ष के सर्वश्रेष्ठ एथलीट चुने गए जगदीश कुमार मंडल और जान्हवी को पदक और प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान किए। फुटबॉल, वॉलीबॉल, बास्केटबॉल और कबड्डी के अलावा रेस, जैवलिन थ्रो, डिस्कस थ्रो, शॉटपुट, फुटबॉल, वोलीबॉल, बॉस्केटबॉल और कब्बडी सहित सभी ट्रैक और फील्ड स्पर्धाओं के विजेताओं को भी सम्मानित किया गया।
लाँग जंप प्रतियोगिता (लड़कियों) में दिव्यांजलि ने स्वर्ण पदक जीता जबकि खुशबू ने रजत पदक जीता। लाँग जंप प्रतियोगिता (लड़कों) में अभिनव ने स्वर्ण और मुकुल ने रजत पदक जीता; अंश ने कांस्य पदक जीता। लड़कियों की 400 मीटर दौड़ में जान्हवी ने गोल्ड मेडल जीता। लड़कों की 4x100 रिले दौड़ तरूण, साहिल, अदनान और सिमरोज की टीम ने जीती; जबकि लड़कियों की 4x100 रिले रेस में निहालिनी, ऋचा, रिम्पी और जानवी की टीम ने जीत हासिल की। संजू ने लड़कियों की डिस्कस थ्रो प्रतियोगिता में स्वर्ण पदक जीता।
जबकि ध्रुव सिंह ने लड़कों की डिस्कस थ्रो प्रतियोगिता में स्वर्ण पदक जीता। लड़कों की जैवलिन थ्रो प्रतियोगिता रॉबिन सिंह ने जीती जबकि लड़कियों की जैवलिन थ्रो प्रतियोगिता में सोनम ने स्वर्ण पदक जीता। लड़कियों की शॉटपुट प्रतियोगिता में नेहा बिष्ट ने स्वर्ण पदक जीता, जबकि लड़कों के वर्ग में विशाल मक्कड़ ने शॉटपुट में स्वर्ण पदक जीता।
