Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla mourned the demise of Prof. Simmi Agnihotri, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, at their native village Gondpur Jaichand, district Una, today. The Governor expressed his sympathies and consoled the grieved family members.
The sudden demise of Prof. Simmi Agnihotri at a young age has sent shock waves in the entire state, particularly in Haroli, wherein she was deeply respected and loved by the people. She was actively involved in social cause and was always keen to help the needy. He said that late Simmi Agnihotri had an important contribution in the special awareness campaign started from Haroli in Una district to make Himachal Pradesh drug free.
He prayed to the God for peace to the departed soul and to give strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss. Chief Secretary Himachal Pradesh Prabodh Saxena, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal and other dignitaries were also present.
