NRI of the year in 2015 and High Flyer top 50 Global Indian in 2022 Manjit Singh Nijjar from a small village Diant Pur in Jalandhar and Coventry City in U.K. conferred with Prestigious Indian Acheivers Award at Habitat Centre in Delhi in the presence of U.K. Home Office Senior officials and dignitaries from india and abroad.
As Senior Hon Nri Coordinator and Member High Powered Investmemt Committee of Punjab Govt., Manjit Nijjar has been serving for the betterment of his motherland by connecting top ranking universities multinational companies, highly successful Nri diaspora, and their younger generation for people to people and b2b connectivity by facilitating academic and commercial collaborations.
Mr Nijjar is renowned philanthropist from U.K. working with many organisations such as Indo British Trade Council U.K. and British Kabaddi League and facilitating many initiatives, events and summits in U.K. and Punjab. India. Mr Nijjar is committed to contribute even more in the future towards socio-economic development of India. His aim is to inspire and motivate other Nri’s to do the same.
Mr Nijjar dedicated this award to his late parents, family, friends, Pritpal Gill, CEO Seabird Education Group, teachers, Punjab Govt Chief Ministers, Cabinet Ministers and senior IAS officials, BHC officials in Chandigarh and Delhi and IHC in London and Birmigham who supported his efforts in Punjab and U.K. Mr Nijjar also served Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar as Vice President of Alumni Council for two terms(2015-21) and keen to promote academic excellence by working on transnational education policy.
