Former Minister of State for External Affairs and Member of Parliament from Patiala Preneet Kaur took part in BJP's second booth convention held at Silver Oak Palace, Sirhind Road on Tuesday.

Addressing a large gathering of workers on the occasion, she said that it is a matter of great happiness for the people of Patiala that due to her efforts and the trust of the residents of the area, Union Road Construction Minister Nitin Gadkari ji has approved the construction of Northern Bypass of Patiala the tenders for the construction has been issued. 

The construction work of the Northern Bypass will be started in the next few days.She further said that, "Captain Amarinder Singh, while being the Chief Minister, had established two big universities in the Patiala rural assembly. 

Along with this, a 500 crore rupees canal water project and a state-of-the-art bus stand was built in Patiala-110 which is benefiting the people a lot." Giving a befitting reply to the ruling party she said that the development of the Punjab government is limited to advertisements only, while in reality every section of the public is troubled.

On the other hand, Punjab BJP General Secretary Anil Sareen appealed to the residents of the area to strengthen the party at the booth levels for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and play a role for each person to get at least ten votes each.

Similarly, Punjab BJP national executive member Harjit Singh Grewal said that every BJP worker will have to work hard to make the slogan of crossing 400 come true this time. Appreciating the gathering in the booth convention, he said that the BJP has not announced any candidate for the Lok Sabha in Punjab yet, but they know that Maharani Preneet Kaur will be the candidate of the BJP from the Patiala Lok Sabha seat and we all have to ensure that she is elected from here.

BJP's Patiala District Urban President Sanjeev Sharma Bittu said that all the people know about the development of the past years in Patiala-110 assembly constituency, but today's new generation should also know that Big industries like DMW and factory at Bahadurgarh were also established due to the hard work of Captain Amarinder Singh Ji and his family and that's why many people have been able to get employment their today.

He said that electing Maharani Preneet Kaur from the Patiala Lok Sabha seat is the responsibility of the entire area and after that the responsibility of creating new employment opportunities in the area will be on Maharani Preneet Kaur and the Modi government.

On this occasion, apart from the above leaders, Praveen Bansal, BJP Mahila Morcha Punjab President Biba Jai Inder Kaur, Sukhwinder Kaur Naulakha, Lok Sabha Constituency Pracharak Balwant Rai, KK Malhotra, presidents of all six mandals and 258 booth in-charges and a large number of BJP workers were present.
