Ambesh Upmanyu, the Chief Postmaster General of Himachal Pradesh, along with other officials from the postal department, paid a visit to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan today. During the meeting, Upmanyu presented commemorative postage stamps featuring Ayodhya's Shree Ram Mandir to the Governor.
Upmanyu briefed the Governor about the growing demand for postage stamps depicting Shree Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, which will soon be made available in all post offices across the state. Additionally, he announced that the department will kickstart a campaign from February 20th to March 28th, 2024, during which they will distribute a souvenir and the Prime Minister's message related to Shree Ram Mandir.
Furthermore, Upmanyu highlighted the department's involvement in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, conducted at 1093 locations throughout the state.Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla commended the efforts of the Postal Department and expressed confidence that the services provided by the department will effectively reach the masses. Bishan Singh, Director of Postal Services, also attended the meeting.
This meeting underscores the commitment of the postal department to commemorate significant cultural and religious landmarks through philatelic initiatives, contributing to the preservation of heritage and promotion of national unity.

प्रदेश के मुख्य पोस्टमास्टर जनरल अम्बेश उपमन्यु ने आज यहां राज्यपाल शिव प्रताप शुक्ल से भेंट की। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने राज्यपाल को अयोध्या में निर्मित राम मन्दिर की स्मारक डाक टिकट भी भेंट की। अम्बेश उपमन्यु ने अवगत करवाया कि अयोध्या राम मन्दिर पर आधारित डाक टिकट की बड़े स्तर पर मांग है और अब यह डाकघरों में उपलब्ध है।
इसके अतिरिक्त डाकघरों के माध्यम से 20 फरवरी से 28 मार्च, 2024 तक राम मन्दिर से संबंधित स्मारिका और प्रधानमंत्री का संदेश भी पंचायत स्तर तक पहुंचाया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि हिमाचल प्रदेश में विकसित भारत संकल्प यात्रा के दौरान डाक विभाग ने 1093 स्थानों पर सहयोग किया। राज्यपाल ने डाक विभाग के इन प्रयासों की सराहना की। इस अवसर पर निदेशक डाक सेवाएं बिशन सिंह सहित अन्य विभागीय अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे।
