In a significant move towards promoting women's hygiene and environmental sustainability, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri (CGC Jhanjeri) has recently installed state-of-the-art sanitary napkin vending machines across its campus. This initiative is aimed at ensuring the personal hygiene of female students and staff while simultaneously taking steps to combat environmental degradation.

The campus-wide installation was accompanied by informative sessions, where female students and staff were provided demonstrations on how to effectively utilize the vending machines. With just a simple push of a button, this technologically advanced solution dispenses sanitary napkins, addressing the essential needs of women during crucial days.

Bismin Dhaliwal, a fervent advocate for women's health, led the campaign, while the National Service Scheme (NSS) Wing of CGC Jhanjeri played a pivotal role in executing the initiative. Expanding the impact beyond the campus, sanitary pad dispensers were also installed in Government Schools and Dharamshala across five villages, including Machali Kalan, Todar Majra, and Majat Makran.

The commitment of Bismin Dhaliwal to addressing menstrual hygiene challenges in rural communities was evident throughout the donation drive. The installation of sanitary pad dispensers in these locations is expected to bring about a positive transformation in the lives of women and girls in these communities.

Expressing her satisfaction with the initiative, Bismin Dhaliwal stated, "CGC Jhanjeri has always been committed to social responsibility and community development. This donation drive is a testament to our dedication to addressing essential health issues and positively impacting the lives of those in need."

Communities in Machali Kalan, Todar Majra, Majat Makran, and neighboring areas extend their gratitude to Mrs. Bismin Dhaliwal, CGC Jhanjeri's student welfare department, and the NSS Wing for their collaborative efforts in promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and accessibility. This initiative signifies CGC Jhanjeri's ongoing commitment to fostering positive change in both women's lives and the environment.
