"Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gained significant strength in Chandigarh today as Deepak Siddhu, who contested municipal elections from Ward Number 12 on the BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) ticket, and Shami Walia, who contested MP elections in 1999 as an independent candidate, along with their entire teams, joined AAP.
Welcoming Deepak Siddhu, Shami Walia, and their teams into AAP, Dr. SS Ahluwalia, Chairman of the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board and Co-Incharge of AAP Chandigarh, expressed his greetings. Also present at the occasion were AAP leaders Amit Jain, JD Ghai, and Arvind Chauhan, along with other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Siddhu stated that he and his entire team have been greatly influenced by the work of Jan Kalyan (public welfare) carried out by Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi and Punjab. This influence has led them to join AAP today. He emphasized their commitment to taking the policies of Jan Hit (public welfare) by AAP to every household in Chandigarh.
Welcoming Deepak and his team from Ward Number 12, including Shri Kant, Bhuru, Sohan Singh, Sanjeev Sahota, Gurmeet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Narendra Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Anmol, Subhash, Tarsem Lal, and Gaurav, Dr. SS Ahluwalia stated that AAP is the only party that fulfills the promises made to the people.
AAP has delivered on its promises without delay, providing significant convenience to the people. This is the reason why a large number of people in Chandigarh are joining AAP, influenced by its policies for public welfare. He mentioned that in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, AAP will achieve a significant victory in Chandigarh because the people of Chandigarh are fed up with the false promises of leaders from other parties.
The residents of Chandigarh are also longing for basic facilities. Just as the people of Chandigarh voted for AAP in the municipal elections, winning the highest number of seats and councillors, similarly, in the Lok Sabha elections, the people of Chandigarh will vote for AAP. Dr. SS Ahluwalia further stated that the membership campaign run by AAP in Chandigarh in recent days has received tremendous love from the people of Chandigarh, and thousands are joining AAP under this campaign."
