The University School of Allied Health Sciences (USAHS) of Rayat Bahra University organised an awareness campaign co-ordinated by faculty and students to mark World AIDS Day. The main objective of this event was to make the students aware about this dreaded disease for which there is no treatment and precaution is the only way to prevent this disease.

In the inaugural session Dr Pankaj Kaul, Dean, USAHS, introduced salient features and incidence of HIV/AIDS. Prof Satish Bansal, Dean of Academic, appreciated the efforts made by the USAHS in holding such programmes to educate students and masses about various health issues.

During the event about 100 students attended the deliberations presented by Dr Bahadur, Assistant Professor, Forensic Sciences.  The students also participated in a quiz competition in which teams of various departments of RBU participated. Team of Neelakshi, Rafa Hasan and Sunidhi from University School of Social Sciences stood first.
