Continuing the healthy practice of the college, a felicitation program of Safai Karamcharis was organized today here in Government SPMR College of Commerce. The program was held to show gratitude towards civic staff for their contribution in keeping the college campus clean. The appreciation was offered as a kind of psychological incentive to all human beings to work better and with dedication.

The Chief Guest, Principal of the college, Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma expressed his gratitude to the civic workers for keeping the college surroundings neat and hygienic.  To provide their services, they come early and make the campus ready for the start of the day, he said. He further added that they are the real warriors who have given their services even at the tough and deadly times of covid.

All the Safai karamcharis Mr Kabir, Mr. Rinku, Ms Anjelina, Ms Neelam, Ms Hafeeza, Ms Bobby, Mr. Sunny and Ms Raj Begum were garlanded and felicitated with mementos and Gifts. Prof Savita Jamwal also encouraged the workers to work in unison and irrespective of allotted areas.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Deepak Pathania said that all the cleanliness staff work as a team and involve themselves in activities such as segregation of waste, compost making and proper disposal of solid waste.

Dr.  Pathania further added that all should respect them as they are the indispensable workforce who clean the mess created by others which is indeed a difficult task to do for any human being. The faculty members should cooperate in making things easy and not difficult for them.

Later, the Safai Karamcharis and staff members enjoyed eatables and tea thereafter.  Mr. Rinku and Mr. Sunny made the occasion lively by singing songs.  The whole program was coordinated by Prof Savita Jamwal, Dr. Monika Malhotra, Prof. Deepshikha Sharma and Dr. Deepak Pathania.
