The Directorate of Economics & Statistics, J&K today undertook a cleanliness drive under “Swachhata Hi Seva” in the Directorate complex at Jammu. Satvir Kour Sudan, Director General, Economics & Statistics, J&K led the officers and officials of the Economics & Statistics cadre in the “Shramdaan’ for cleanliness campaign. On this occasion all the officers and officials took “Sawachhta Pledge” for keeping our surroundings clean and make others to follow. The campaign has reignited the spirit of voluntarism and community participation among the masses.
All the staff members of the Directorate, Regional Director (E&S) Jammu, School of Applied Economics & Statistics, Jammu participated in the campaign by intensive cleanliness of their respective sections also. The Director General commended the efforts of all the participants and emphasized that cleanliness should not only be maintained occasionally but should be made a routine manner.
