Every year, the first week of September is observed as National Nutrition week across the country. The theme for the National Nutrition Week 2023 is “Healthy diet- affordable for all.”Nursing College GMC Doda organised a series of activities under the guidance of the Dean and Principal GMC Doda Dr. Puja Vimesh to observe the National Nutrition Week.
A Healthy Recipe Competition was conducted on 6th September 2023. The response was encouraging. A total of 32 B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year students, divided into 5 Groups, participated in the event enthusiastically. Keeping in mind the theme, a variety of handy and delicious recipes were prepared by the students using the concept of “Healthy diet-affordable for all”.
The competition was judged by Dr.Safia Khan HOD Microbiology, Dr Mir Kaiser Ahmed HOD Biochemistry and Dr. Garima Charak, HOD Physiology GMC Doda. The prizes for commendable efforts were given to a Winner and Runner up group from Nursing College GMC Doda.
The whole event was supervised by Dr. Suresh K Kotwal Coordinator Nursing College Doda, Dr. Waleed Balwan Academic Registrar GMC Doda, Dt. Nasir Nabi Batt Dietician A.H GMC Doda and other faculty of Govt. Nursing College Doda. The recipes were delectable and the judges had a tough time to zero in on the winners.
