Sh. Manjinder Singh, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar visited ADR Centre, established in the office of District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar to supervise its working.
He inspected the records being maintained in the Front Office, DLSA office as well as Legal Aid Defense Counsel System. He also interacted with the Retainer Lawyer who mans Front Office to provide legal advice to visitors. Besides, Advocates empanelled in Legal Aid Defense Counsel System were encouraged to provide free legal services in criminal cases with dedication, devotion and determination from pre-arrest stage to the stage of appeal to the legal aid seekers.
People present in the Mediation Centre and Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS) as well as legal aid beneficiaries were also contacted to know their experience with the services of Panel Lawyers, Mediators and Legal Aid Defense Counsel System. Sh. Baljinder Singh Maan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar was also present at the occasion.
