Former IPS Gurpreet Singh Toor hands cheque of Rs 1 Lakh to DC Surabhi Malik as contribution towards CM Flood Relief Fund

In a noble gesture, the Former IPS Officer Gurpreet Singh Toor today handed over a cheque of Rs one lakh to Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik as his contribution in the massive efforts being made by the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government to bail out people in flood ravaged areas of the district.

Handing over the cheque to Deputy Commissioner, Toor said that it was a proud privilege to get a chance for making a contribution in this humanitarian act from his pension amount. He also appealed other pensioners to come forward and donate generously towards CM flood relief fund.

He said that the floods had caused large level destruction and affected people in the entire state of Punjab and it was duty to stand with the flood affected people. Deputy Commissioner lauded the contribution made by Toor and said that such contributions go a long way in helping the needy during the hour of distress.

ADC (General) Gautam Jain, SDM Jasleen Kaur Bhullar and others were also present.
